Syphilis, also known as Syph, Pox and Bad Blood, is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. This disease is usually transmitted or acquired through direct contact with the wound or sore. It is transmitted by bacteria called spirochetes, which can enter your body during sexual activity. Once they get into your body, they move on and travel to your blood and internal organs. The incubation period for this disease is about ten days to three months, averaging about 21 days. The symptoms of this common sexually transmitted disease are initially painless sores, which usually indicate where the germs have entered. Subsequent symptoms include skin rash, hair loss and sore throat. These symptoms usually disappear in about two to four weeks, but if left untreated, these symptoms may reappear in later years, so a syphilis test is recommended.

Gonorrhea, also called GC, Drip and Clap, is another common sexually transmitted disease. This disease is usually transmitted by direct contact between infected mucous membranes, such as the genitals, anus and mouth of one person with the mucous membranes of another.
Contaminated fingers can also transmit the organism from infected mucous membranes to the eyes. Sometimes there are no symptoms of this common sexually transmitted disease, but for those who experience symptoms, these are burning and probably painful urination and pus discharge for men due to infection of the urethra, while a vaginal discharge may be experienced by the women. Complications that can be obtained from this STD are pelvic inflammation, infertility for men and women, arthritis, blindness, meningitis, heart damage.

HIV/AIDS or human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency infection is another common sexually transmitted disease. This disease first occurred in Africa and then spread to the Caribbean islands. It was reported in the US in 1981 and later cases were reported in other countries. This sexually transmitted disease spread so rapidly and so widely that it soon emerged in epidemic proportions in various parts of the world. The current status of this disease is epidemic.

There are several modes of transmission of this disease. HIV/AIDS can be transmitted through sexual contact, blood transfusion, contaminated tools such as syringes, needles, pliers and razors, direct contact with an open wound or mucous membranes containing contaminated blood, body fluids, semen and vaginal discharge. Symptoms of this disease include decreased appetite, weight loss, fever of unknown origin, malaise, persistent diarrhea, tuberculosis and skin cancer. In the early stages, a person with this disease may experience loss of concentration, loss of libido, apathy, psychomotor retardation and withdrawal.
