Wiser about STDs

Also check out the Brochures page.
It's great that you are looking for information about STDs! As far as I am concerned, you can pretend to your friends that you are all-knowing, but it is always wise to properly inform yourself. Good information will get you a long way when it comes to protection.
You may think that using a condom is sufficient to protect yourself. But that is not always the case. That is why I indicate per STD on this site whether a condom is safe enough.
I also provide answers to the question how you can recognize an STD. Separately for each STD. But to give you a first reassurance, in this first blog I will also roughly mention the characteristics of STDs.
But..
I'm not a doctor. I can give you reliable information but when in doubt or when you recognize the symptoms I describe here, I really recommend you go to your doctor. No matter how embarrassing.
